Extremely wide for a Super35 lens, yet without fisheye distortion, the Laowa Zero-D S35 7.5mm T/2.9 Cine Lens from Venus Optics is a cine lens light enough to fly on a drone and an excellent choice for architectural filming, as it keeps straight lines from warping and parallel lines remain parallel.

Fitted with a Nikon Z mount, this lens is a seeming contradiction in lens creation; the 7.5mm is both small and lightweight, yet optically fast and sharp. Use the lens with your camera in handheld, tripod, gimbal, stabilizer, or drone configuration for sharp, clear images in dim to bright conditions.

With focus scales marked in both feet and meters, the lens is suitable for anyone without remarking the distances, and the built-in 0.8 MOD rings allow you to easily integrate this lens into your cinema lens accessory setup, as it works with industry-standard follow focus units and lens motors. In addition, the lens accepts optional 77mm threaded filters, which can help protect your front element and improve your images by cutting through UV and glare. The lens comes with front and rear caps, as well as a protective hard case.

The lens offers a 123° angle of view in Super35. The T2.9 maximum aperture allows filmmakers to shoot under low light situations and control the depth of field, making it suitable for shooting in tight spaces or for establishing shots.

The "Zero-Distortion" design and construction enables cinematographers to shoot with straight lines without wide-angle or fisheye distortion, extremely useful when shooting architectural, aerial, and indoor footage.

This optical design contains 16 elements in 10 groups, including 2 ED and 2 aspherical glasses for controlling chromatic aberration to the minimum. It renders outstanding and sharp images, which saves a lot of time on post-production.

The relatively short focusing distance of 9.84" makes it ideal for focusing on close subjects with a strong background bokeh effect.

Endowed with a lightweight body, the lens is exceptionally compact and transportable, measuring 3.17" long and weighing less than 1.4 lb. It can easily fit onto stabilizations systems, including handheld gimbals. It is also built to have a front element that does not extend past the outer barrel, which allows 77mm screw-in filters to be directly attached to the lens barrel, making it even more user-friendly and convenient, especially for aerial cinematography.

The focus and iris rings have built-in 0.8 MOD gears.
