This is the second generation Samyang 8mm f/3.5 UMC Fisheye CS II Lens and features a new detachable lens hood. Otherwise it is optically and mechanically the same as the non detachable lens hood version and is still capable of producing stunning high resolution fisheye images.

For APS-C & full frame
The Samyang 8mm f/3.5 Fish eye CS II is primarily designed for APS-C sensors, but can also be used on full-frame cameras with the lens hood detached. On full-frame cameras, the Samyang 8mm Fisheye gives a wide field of view, making it ideal for panoramas and 3D virtual tours.
