The Lens Hood from NiSi is an upgraded redesign of the hood included with the Nikon Z 14-24mm F/2.8 S lens, which allows light to enter from behind, causing lens flare and making it unsuitable for long exposures and night time photography. The design of this NiSi hood incorporates a gasket to eliminate light leaks for better performance with long exposures and when using ND filters.
This aluminum hood features the same petal-shaped design and dimensions found on the original Nikon HB-97 lens hood, but it also includes a 112mm front filter thread for easily installing or changing filters. The hood features a locking screw to keep the hood attached to the lens safely and securely, and it is compatible with the Nikon LC-Z1424 front lens cap.
