The microphones feature an omnidirectional pickup pattern that captures sound from every direction, allowing for freedom of movement—even when the subject turns away from the mic. The included alligator-style mic clips hold the mics firmly in place on clothing.
The 19.6' cable extends 20" before splitting into two 18' cables for each of the two microphones, providing plenty of length for both subjects to stand at an optimal distance in front of your camera. The cable is made of two sections: a first section with the two lav mics at one end and a 3.5mm TRS female connector at the other, and a second section with a 3.5mm TRS male connector at one end and an MFi Certified Lightning connector at the other.
The second section can be used to connect either the lav mics or any audio device with a 3.5mm TRS output (including wireless receivers and media players) to your iPhone or iPad. The mics are powered via your iOS device so you don't have to remember to change batteries. Foam windscreens are provided to protect against wind noise.
