Sound Radix POWAIR

Sound Radix POWAIR is a dynamic audio plug-in that combines modern compression technologies with intelligent volume control and is designed for transparent, musical dynamics processing. Designed for mixing, mastering and broadcast applications, POWAIR combines two independent processing stages: an adaptive leveler for automatic gain correction and a fully adjustable compressor for targeted dynamics shaping. The plug-in is specially designed to compensate for level fluctuations in real time without affecting the natural character of the input signal.

The first stage, the leveler, continuously analyzes the signal and ensures a constant volume over a defined period of time. Quiet passages are automatically boosted and loud ones reduced, resulting in a balanced level – ideal for applications such as voice editing, podcasts or music productions with widely varying volumes. The second processing stage is a conventional compressor with extensive setting options (threshold, ratio, attack, release), which enables precise interventions in the dynamic structure.

A central feature of Sound Radix POWAIR is the adaptive gain-riding technology, which reacts to the input material in real time and ensures a consistent output volume without creating classic pumping artifacts. This is complemented by a look-ahead function that allows precise control of the transient response, especially with percussive signals. The plug-in also has a sidechain input, which enables frequency-selective or rhythm-controlled compression.

POWAIR supports all common 64-bit formats (AAX Native, VST, VST3, AU) and is compatible with macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows systems. It is typically used as an insert effect on individual tracks, groups or the master bus and is particularly suitable for critical mixing and mastering processes where transparent dynamics processing is required.
