Sound Radix Auto-Align 2

Sound Radix Auto-Align 2 is a specialized correction plug-in for automatic time and phase alignment of multiple microphone tracks. Designed for professional applications in music production, post-production and live recording, Auto-Align 2 provides a fully automated solution for optimizing phase relationships in multi-track recordings. Typical application scenarios include drum recordings with multiple microphones, guitar and bass amps with multi-miking, choirs, orchestras and complex vocal setups.

The plugin analyzes time delays and phase deviations between different tracks and compensates for them in real time – both through precise delay correction and frequency-dependent phase rotation. This significantly improves the phase coherence in the sum signal, resulting in a more precise stereo image, a more stable low-end and clearer transient imaging. Compared to manual correction in the DAW, Auto-Align 2 saves considerable time and ensures maximum accuracy at sample level.

A central function is the group workflow: individual plug-in instances are connected to each other via a group ID and communicate with each other to enable simultaneous analysis of multiple tracks. The user determines which track serves as a reference, while all others are automatically adjusted. In addition, Auto-Align 2 offers a Spectral Phase Correction Mode that adjusts the phase frequency-selectively to effectively minimize even complex comb filter effects.

The plugin supports all common 64-bit formats (AAX Native, VST, VST3, AU) and is fully compatible with macOS (incl. Apple Silicon) and Windows systems. It is typically used as an insert on the tracks to be processed. Auto-Align 2 is particularly suitable for producers, recording engineers and mixing professionals who want to achieve maximum phase coherence with minimum effort.
